I have always been an artist. I have the soul and heart of an artist. However the journey of life sometimes got in the way. Of course I realize that the journey is also what makes my art what it is. I am a composite of my life’s experiences My art is the fabric of that composite.
Finally I can engage in my passion to my heart’s desire. My style is constantly evolving. I paint in three mediums, Water Colors, Acrylics and Oils.
I have painted in Oils and Acrylics for a very long time. However, when I discovered Water Colors, my imagination took some high wire leaps.
My style is abstract, loose and vivid in color. I am organic, in that I “feel”, the movement, am awestruck by nature, color is my energy and power, I can taste the fruit, Hear the waves pounding on the rocks. Then there are times when I just want to test out my child-side and work with fantasy.
Sometimes when I sit in front of a blank canvas, and let my thoughts wander, something happens I pick up my brush, get some paint on it and just go where my energy leads me
Sometimes very interesting things happen, like my ‘911’ Watercolor. I really had no clue as to what was going to happen there. I cried when I saw what came. I suppose it was somewhere in my subconscious that I had still sitting there just waiting to be released.
Believe it or not those are the best times!
